Group Edit

As a Group Manager you are the sole person in your group that can edit the following group settings. None of those settings exposes your content to unprivileged users, however please pay extra attention if you choose to set the Membership Requests to Open.

Contents |
Title
The name of the group. You will most probably want to enter your company name.
Description
A short description about your company. This information will appear in the groups list if List In Groups Directory is enabled.
Mission Statement
A welcome greeting for your group home page possibly stating the group mission. This will appear in the group view.
Membership Requests
Determine how membership will be handled. Moderated is usually the best option and unsubscribed members will see the request membership link if they visit your group - their membership state will be pending until approved by you or group admin. Note that you may select the Open option, but that means that everybody can be a member in your group and view your content.
List In Groups Directory
Determine if the group should appear in the groups directory.
Private Group
Determine if the group should be visible only to its members. This is usuful when you don't wish that anybody knows your company has a group in simplePDM. When un-subscribed usesr will attempt to access your group, they will get an access denied. Adding members will be done through Add Members.
